Rachel became a full-time Pilates instructor in 2005, certified through Power Pilates. Whilst living in the USA, she taught at the Power Pilates head quarters in New York City and at Classical Pilates studios in the Washington DC area.
In her years of teaching Pilates Rachel has studied with and taken workshops from classical instructors such as Jay Grimes, Kathy Ross Nash, Mejo Wiggins, Peter Fiasca, Alicia Ungaro, Bob Liekens, Holly Murry and continues to work with Holly as an instructor and teacher trainer for Pi Studio, London.
Rachel’s approach to teaching is compassionate and understanding to the individuals’ needs and physical ability. You will move, have fun and feel great after your workout!!
Rowing series - part 1. Rowing exercises are generally done on a Reformer machine, but Rachel will show you how to do them on the mat! If you sit for hours at the desk, this workout is perfect as it will be strengthening your neck, spine, and improve your overall posture.
Rowing Series -part 2. In this session, Rachel will be following on some of the work done in the previous video. This workout is amazing for posture, as it will be strengthening your back while lengthening and lifting the spine, especially the upper back.
Join Rachel for this classical Pilates session, focused on the rolling over exercises. These moves are slightly more advanced, so if you have any neck tension or issues please follow Rachel's modifications.
This is an intermediate Pilates session, perfect if you already have some Pilates experience and want to challenge yourself. Rachel will take you through a nice 45-minute flow, without stopping too much between the exercises. As always, all you need is a mat!
